About this job opportunity:

Day to day tasks of this role:
  • Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in need of transportation (particularly heavy equipment OEMs).

  • Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.

  • Develops and implements strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry.

  • Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.

  • Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.

  • Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.

  • Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.

  • Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.

  • Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to create relationships with potential customers (OEM), negotiate bids and earn as much freight as they can while servicing them at a high level.

  • Drive and hustle are a must - we want representatives that are hungry and are willing to work hard.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must have previous sales experience - 5 years.

  • Must have previous logistics experience - 2 yrs.

  • Willingness to travel 50%

Minimal Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or a related field is preferred.

Required Software Skills Sets:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
