Our client is a publicly traded, non-asset-based global transportation and supply chain management company. Organic growth plus strategic acquisitions has allowed our client to grow into a global provider trusted by customers and partners. Along with strategic operating partners, they manage over 100 operating locations worldwide servicing everything from supplying white-glove delivery services to the retail sector to transporting heavy machinery around the world.

$75,000 - $95,000

About this job opportunity:

Day to day tasks of this role:
  • Maximize volume, revenue, and margin within the defined sales territory and customer base.

  • Communicate with customers through personal visits, phone calls, emails etc. 

  • Ensure customer profiles are up to date in  (CRM) software.

  • Anticipate and meet customer requirements in a professional, proactive manner. 

  • Provide customer service that exceeds expectations. while cultivating strong personal relationships supporting of customer / account objectives.

  • Effectively communicate internally.

  • Develop, implement, and deliver on the pre-determined sales plan.

  • Drive the company to quickly resolve problems and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.

  • Identify new business opportunities that exist within the customer / territory base.

  • Determine, evaluate, and report special trends in the customer / territory base.

  • Provide management with appropriate forecast of results and opportunities.

  • Provide input to senior management on goals such as volume, margin, and revenue growth through the CRM.

  • Provide input to the annual budget.

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in forwarding sales with a proven track record of success.

  • Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely internal and external customer service.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills (in a team environment).

  • Proven success generating/qualifying leads through prospecting new business with a ‘determined’ mentality.

  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.

  • Able to work in fast paced environment.

  • Accurate and detail oriented.

  • Effective & strong negotiation skills.

  • Analytical and detail oriented.

  • Able to travel across borders.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Minimal Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree Business, Logistics or International Trade

Required Software Skills Sets:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word

  • PowerPoint is an asset.

  • Experience with CRM applications is an asset I.e., Salesforce
